Sharpen the Saw means preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have – you. It means having a balanced program for self-renewal in the four areas of your life: physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual. As you renew yourself in each four areas, you can create growth and change your life.

What are some of the ways you create renewal and balance in your life?

I have never been good at taking the time to “sharpen” regularly.
This is a strategic process requiring a focus and planning.
What helps me to renew and refresh includes getting away from it all.
I either go overseas to new and unusual places so that I remember that I am such a tiny part of the big world that we live in. Or, I will visit the majesty of my neighborhood in the US and all the beautiful places that we have right here at home. It never fails to bring perspective to my “huge” problems or to renew my focus to the beautiful places that can bring us peace, if we just reach out and search for them.

Thank you for sharing Sarah, it sounds like you and I are similar regarding Restoration and Balance, or “Sharpen the Saw” As you know I love to spend time in the natural world. I feel closer to god when I’m out in nature, or in his Temples. Keep fighting the good fight my dear friend!
