Orbits for Sales, Marketing, and Influencers
The science behind the Orbits model holds true to anything we tend to orbit, including beliefs, ideas, and behaviors. The act of selling and marketing is simply one where we deliberately work to create a departure trigger from some previous buying behavior or idea, and work to influence them into a new orbit around our product, service, offering, or company.
As an instrument of influence this is the same. When we want to influence someone to change the way they think or what they believe, we have to get them to traverse the stages and disengage from their prior orbit in order to embrace a new orbit of beliefs or behaviors.
