team satisfaction & Sentiment
activate the emotional undercurrent of your team
Satisfaction and Sentiment outline the emotional undercurrent within your team. When these are high, employees are more likely to stay longer, as well as be engaged and high-performing. Satisfaction is different from engagement, and can be a key, lightweight survey to quickly identify the emotional state of your team, before diving deeper to measure engagement.
SATISFACTION AND energy
The satisfaction we feel for the work we do and the teams we’re on makes a critical impact on the energy we have to do the work we need to do. And when it comes to performance, the research is clear… between time, talent and energy… energy matters most. Lear more about the critical role of Energy on performance, how satisfaction impacts Energy, and why it’s so important to measure them!

Step 1 - Get your team on board
First, make sure each member of your team has an account. This will give them access to all our tools and academy content. You will then be able to measure satisfaction and run reports like this (as well as to track engagement, performance, and employee’s Energy Profiles). It all starts with creating team member access, which you can do by clicking on the Manage Team Member card here.

Step 2 - have your team take the assessment
Next, make sure each team member takes their Employee Satisfaction Assessment. Once they log in, there’s a link right from their Member Dashboard. We use two metrics to measure satisfaction: Employee Net Promoter Score (ENPS) and Employee Sentiment Score (ESS), a proprietary report measuring sentiment along the Orbits of Engagement model.

TEAM ENERGY PROFILES
Satisfaction is a function of expectation. So if satisfaction on a team is suffering, it’s likely there’s an expectation gap. But not all expectation gaps are created equal. Some expectations, when not met, will yield a disproportionately negative impact. The Team Energy Profile tool will help you identify exactly what things matter most to that team, so you know which expectations you most want to close the gap on.

TEAM ENGAGEMENT
Satisfaction and Sentiment are the most superficial measures of Energy. Different from Engagement, they are a valuable, additional measure we can use to keep tabs on Energy. We recommend a scheduled cadence between measuring each of them (learn more). If your satisfaction assessment shows a struggling team, it’s a good time to do a deeper analysis with our Engagement Assessment.
