The Personal Energy Profile gives you deep insights into your team member’s personality, motivations, character traits, and even the types of things they have a natural competency for (or may struggle with). It gives you unprecedented insights into employees so you can know how to keep them engaged and high performing.
Once you’ve created a Team Energy Profile, a hiring manager can now give the Personal Energy Profile to a candidate to determine how likely they are to be successful on the team they’re about to join, assessing whether or not they have a similar chemistry and will be a good culture fit for that team.

That critical insight, delivered early, can help a leader or an organization prevent a bad hire. It can also provide direction to the leader whose team they’re about to join about things that may potentially go wrong, and even direct them to learning in the Achievement Academy to help them prepare for those scenarios.

A manager could also compare the Personal Energy Profile of a struggling employee with the team they’re on, to determine why they may be struggling, and even identify a team that may be a better fit for them.

Step 1 - Get your team on board

First, make sure each member of your team has an account. This will give them access to all our tools and academy content. You will then be able to run reports like this (as well as to track engagement, satisfaction, and performance). 

It all starts with creating team-member access.

Step 2 - Team Assessments

Next, make sure each member of your team takes their own Personal Energy Profile. This will give you the foundation of profiles to work with, allowing you to compare candidates with individual team members or with composite profiles (like “top performer,” or against composite profiles for role, department, or any other target profile you’d like to compare to).

Step 3 - get candidates on board

Share your Candidate Assessment URL (below) with candidates during the recruiting process. They’ll create an account and take their own Energy Profile assessment. You can use a link shortener (like bit.ly) to make it more accessible.

Learn how to use this to create a strong employer brand

In appreciation for their application and interest in your organization, your candidates will receive a free, one-month subscription to Life Engineering. They’ll have full access to all the individual tools, courses, content, assessments, and community. This can be a great way to not only leverage Team Fit reports, but to express gratitude for your applicants! Be sure to communicate this to them to get the full value of this tool.

Step 4 - View Candidate profiles and run comparisons

As your candidates take their assessments, you’ll be able to view their Energy Profiles by clicking the “Profiles” tab above.

Click the “Comparisons” tab to compare candidate profiles against internal profiles and see their level of congruence or diversity.

Select your comparison

First, select a candidate from the list below, then click “Select an Employee” to choose an employee or team to compare them to. Once you’ve selected both, click Generate Comparison Report.

Below is a list of all candidates who have completed their Personal Energy Profile. Select the checkmark next to the candidate you wish to use in this comparison, then click the “Select an Employee” button above to continue. If no candidates appear below, you’ll first need them to fill out their Personal Energy Profile.

Select an internal reference

Next, for the internal comparison, simply choose whether you’d like to select an existing employee, or if you’d like to compare the candidate to an existing composite profile report.

Below are all the team members whom you have permission to view. Simply select the individual or individuals you want to include in the comparison, and then click the “Generate Comparison Report” above.
